Does This Feel Familiar?

What people bring to their first session

You do not need a crisis, a diagnosis, or the perfect words to reach out. These are some of the things people tell us in their first conversation.

Your mind keeps racing at night, replaying conversations and worrying about tomorrow.

You feel tired all the time, even after a full night's sleep.

Small things irritate you or upset you more easily than they used to.

On paper, life looks fine. But you have not felt like yourself in a while.

You keep pushing through at work, but the pressure has started spilling into everything else.

A short, private conversation. No commitment needed.

Recognising the Signs

Signs your mind may be asking for support

Everyone experiences these differently, and they often overlap. Noticing a few of them is not a diagnosis. It is a reason to talk to someone qualified.

Constant Worry or Overthinking
Restlessness or a Racing Heart
Trouble Falling or Staying Asleep
Feeling on Edge or Irritable
Difficulty Concentrating
Avoiding Things You Used to Manage
Loss of Interest in Things You Enjoyed
Feeling Drained or Exhausted
Withdrawing from People
Low Mood Most Days
Changes in Appetite or Sleep
Feeling Stuck or Hopeless
If several of these have stayed with you for more than a couple of weeks, talking to a psychologist can genuinely help.

Structured and goal-oriented You and your therapist agree on what feeling better looks like, and work towards it step by step.
Skills you keep The aim is for you to leave with coping tools that outlast the sessions, not to keep you in therapy forever.

FAQs

Questions people ask before their first session

Do I need a diagnosis or referral to see a psychologist?
No. Most people come to us simply because they have not been feeling like themselves. You do not need a referral, a diagnosis, or a name for what you are experiencing. The first conversation is where clarity begins.
You talk, at your own pace, about what has been going on. The psychologist listens, asks a few questions, and by the end you will have a sense of what is happening and what the plan could look like. Nothing is decided without you.
Yes. Nothing you share is disclosed to family members, employers, or anyone else. All consultations and records are handled in strict confidence, in line with professional clinical standards.
It depends on what you are working through. CBT-based therapy is typically structured and time-bound rather than open-ended. Your therapist will discuss a realistic expectation with you after the initial evaluation, and review it openly as you progress.
Yes. Therapy is available both in-person at JP Nagar, Bengaluru, and via secure video sessions, so you can choose whatever works for your schedule and comfort.
Not at all. Many people come for stress, a difficult phase, a loss, or simply feeling stuck. Therapy is a structured way to understand yourself and build skills, whatever the starting point. And if what you need is different from what we offer, we will tell you honestly.
Fees depend on the type of assessment or therapy you need. We share them clearly in your first conversation, before you commit to anything. Message us on WhatsApp and we will walk you through the options.
