To understand the client and his symptoms.
At CBT2, we conduct the initial evaluation through general psychological evaluation and/or clinical observation.
The purpose of the initial evaluation depends on who requests the evaluation, why it is requested, and the expected future role of the therapist in the client’s care. The outcome of the evaluation may or may not lead to a specific psychological diagnosis.
Involves the planned use of interviews and specific psychometric assessments (tests) to diagnose
Psychological Assessment is concerned mainly with development, validation, and application of assessment instruments, scales, observational methods, and interviews.
Some of the assessments that are done at CBT2 are –

- Neuro-psychological assessments
- Personality testing

Increases an individual’s self-awareness, encourages self-exploration, identifies boundaries, enhances communication skills and improves the use of healthy coping skills.
Individual therapy (sometimes called “psychotherapy” or “counselling”) is a process through which clients work one-on-one with a trained therapist—in a safe, caring, and confidential environment—to explore their feelings, beliefs, or behaviors, work through challenging or influential memories, identify aspects of their lives that they would like to change, better understand themselves and others, set personal goals, and work toward desired change.
In individual therapy sessions, we’ll work to solve current problems and improve positive thinking and behavior. We will help you “re-frame” your reactions and provide you with valuable tools to cope with life’s obstacles.
Powerful way to forgive, heal and reconnect with your partner.
Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) is a form of psychotherapy that addresses the behaviors of all family members and the way these behaviors affect not only individual family members, but also relationships between family members and the family unit as a whole.
As such, treatment is usually divided between time spent on individual therapy and time spent on couple therapy, family therapy, or both, if necessary. MFT may also be referred to as couple and family therapy, couple counselling, marriage counselling, or family counselling.
BMSI - BEHAVIOR MODIFICATION AND SCHOOL INTEGRATION PROGRAM
Autism is functionally reversible using Cognitive Behavior Therapy through early intervention
Behavior Modification and School Integration is developed by Anupama Maruvada, Founder and Clinical Director, CBT2, in 2008 to help children with developmental delays to functionally reverse from those symptoms through early intervention using cognitive behavior therapy.
The progress will be measured on the scale of CARS (Childhood Autism Rating Scale).
Develops communication skills, emotional skills, motor skills, cognitive skills and socialization skills, and allows clients to learn how to express their issues and accept criticism from others.
Group therapy helps people work through problems by interacting with the therapist and a group of individuals with similar struggles.
In a safe, confidential setting, each group member can share personal experiences, feelings and issues and receive feedback and support from the rest of the group.
The therapists leading the session may develop their activities from a variety of therapeutic approaches, such as cognitive behavioral, psychoanalytic and humanistic. They may extensively use play and art therapy activities including dramatic and fantasy play activities.
